How to build High Quality Links after the deprecation of PageRank?

PageRank is an algorithm used by Google Search to rank websites in their search engine results. It was developed by Google founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Named after Larry Page, Page Rank is a way of measuring the importance of website pages. which evaluates the quality and quantity of links to a webpage to determine a relative score of that page’s importance and authority on a 0 to 10 scale.
It helped SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in a great way to build quality backlinks thereby increasing the popularity of the websites.

Announcement of Deprecation:

The visible page rank is updated very infrequently. It was last updated in November 2013. In October 2014, google announced that another visible page rank update is not coming.
Finally, on April 15, 2016 Google has officially shut down their Google Toolbar PageRank Data to public.
All the SEO Analyst who greatly depend on Page Rank score for link building activities have to find an alternative.

1) Domain Authority:

Domain Authority is a score (on a 100-point scale) developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engines. It calculate this metric by combining all link metrics—linking root domains, number of total links, MozRank, MozTrust into a single score.
It scores Domain Authority on a 100-point, logarithmic scale. Higher the score higher the quality of domain and suitable to submit our backlinks. Score above 50 is recommended.

2) Spam Score Checker:

A spam score is a rating that values range between 1 and 10, 1 being the best spam score and 10 being the lowest spam score. It determines the number of spam links in a website. Google demotes the websites with spam messages and links. Spam Score checker will help us to avoid building links in such websites.

3) Alexa Traffic Rank and Semrush Rank:

  • Alexa Traffic Rank:
Alexa’s Traffic Ranks are based on the traffic data provided by users in Alexa’s global data panel over a rolling 3 month period. Traffic Ranks are updated daily. A site’s ranking is based on a combined measure of Unique Visitors and Pageviews. Unique Visitors are determined by the number of unique Alexa users who visit a site on a given day. Pageviews are the total number of Alexa user URL requests for a site.
However, multiple requests for the same URL on the same day by the same user are counted as a single Pageview. The site with the highest combination of unique visitors and pageviews is ranked Number One.

  • SEMrush Rank
SEMrush Rank is a unique report, a complete listing of the top 100,000 domains in SEMrush’s database, ranked in order of their search engine keywords and estimated traffic coming from search.
Henceforth, we can make use of Alexa Traffic Rank and SEMrush Rank report to identify quality sites for link building activities.
